Our “formerly” Muslim president would no doubt dub this one of the rites of passage in the long-anticipated Arab Spring.

Immediately after these 2 events,Mitt Romney took the bull by the horns and made a statement that absolutely frosted Barack Obama’s media allies. “I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions,but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

How dare the Republican candidate preempt the obligatory statement of meaningless fluff that would soon come from the White House! And most especially,how dare he assume the role of outraged American after Obama’s men in Cairo had already doubled down on their “it’s all our fault in the first place” meme!

Naturally,the media continue to lash out at Romney for what they deem his extraordinary political “gaffe.” But voters are not buying it. Mitt Romney finally put forward what Americans have been thinking and saying for years. And most importantly,he is refusing to allow the media to re-frame his statements or push him into apologizing for having taken a stand for the United States and the freedom of its citizens to state their minds
