Perhaps, but we'll probably never really know.

The Church Committee discovered a secret U.S. military plan to carry out domestic acts of terrorismthat would kill Americans and blame those killings on Fidel Castro as a pretext for invading Cuba. Roll that one and its implications around in your mind when applied to present circumstances.
The secret drugging of human guinea pigs:
This was a secret CIA operation to give unsuspecting people doses of LSD and other damaging substances in order to see how they reacted. One target is known to have killed himself. Some twenty years later, the secret was exposed and the man's family sued for damages.
Corruption of the American news media:
The CIA maintained an operation that paid editors and reporters in most mainstream media outlets to report the CIA's narrative of events (which may or may not have agreed with the White House version) and suppress contrary information outright or destroy its credibility as conspiracy theory, racist, extremist or the like. That legacy lives on in many of the official media narratives news consumers read and hear on almost any given day that Andrew Breitbart exposed as untrue. Hard to believe?

John Gotti ran the Gambinos with an iron fist. He was known as 'Dapper Don' for his custom-made suits and the 'Teflon Don' for avoiding racketeering and assault convictions in the 1980s.
He clawed his way to power by murdering rivals outside a Midtown steakhouse in 1985.

The National Capital Region: Key Response Planning Factors for the Aftermath of Nuclear Terrorism study considers where the most damage would fall if a nuclear bomb was set off on 16th and K streets, the heart of downtown Washington D.C.:
The Severe Damage Zone (half mile radius): Most buildings destroyed, hazards and radiation initially prevents entry into the area; low survival likelihood.
The Moderate Damage Zone (half to 1 mile radius): Significant building damage and rubble, downed utility poles, overturned automobiles, fires, and many serious injuries. Early medical assistance can significantly improve the number of survivors.
Light Damage Zone (1 to 3 miles radius): Windows broken, mostly minor injuries that are highly survavable even without immediate medical care.

7th Century Teenage Corpse Excavated Near Cambridge in Ornamental Bed
Archaeologists excavating near Cambridge have stumbled upon a rare and mysterious find: The skeleton of a 7th-century teenager buried in an ornamental bed along with a gold-and-garnet cross, an iron knife and a purse full of glass beads.
Experts say the grave is an example of an unusual Anglo-Saxon funerary practice of which very little is known. Just over a dozen of these “bed burials” have been found in Britain, and it’s one of only two in which a pectoral cross – meant to be worn over the chest – has been discovered.
One archaeologist said the burial opened a window into the transitional period when the pagan Anglo-Saxons were gradually adopting Christianity.

Wired describes that the building is ironically and “blandly” named the Utah Data Center. When completed in Sept. 2013 it will house four 25,000 square foot halls of servers, among other things. Wired states that the cost for the project is estimated at $2 billion.
Here‘s some of the data center’s purpose:

U.K.’s far left newspaper The Guardian explained that calls for a boycott of Rush’s show revealed that the host’s opponents had no real understanding of Limbaugh’s business model.
Rush and other radio hosts make their advertising dollars off “no-brands,” companies more concerned about selling their products than selling their name. Consequently, all the squawking from major advertisers is more about the companies promoting themselves than doing Rush any real damage.
“This is partly to say that the media establishment really has no power over Rush,” Wolff writes. “And it is partly to say that liberals, to their continuing detriment, really don’t understand how the media work.”
