A famously liberal community organisation is largely behind the self-proclaimed 'leaderless' Occupy Wall Street movement, according to a new report.
A re-branded spin-off of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is reportedly organising 'guerilla' protests across the U.S. that have been planned since February.

Protests: New York Communities for Change (NYCC), led by former ACORN director Jon Kest, is reportedly largely responsible for the Occupy movement
NYCC was created in 2009 when ACORN was dismantled amid allegations of widespread fraud and corruption, including an embezzlement scandal involving the founder's brother.
Republicans accused ACORN of engaging in widespread fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign when it launched a massive voter-registration drive in minority communities, which typically support Democrats and ended up voting overwhelmingly for President Barack Obama - who earlier this month voiced his support of the movement.
