Francesco Pesce, the alleged leader of the feared 'Ndrangheta mafia, was found by armed Carabinieri officers in a sophisticated air-conditioned hideout packed with bottles of Champagne.
The refuge was raided via a 3ft-high trap door next to a chicken coop concealed beneath a junkyard near the town of Rosarno, in Calabria
