After filming The Tourist in Venice, Depp reportedly outbid an Arab prince to pay $13.4 million for this 17th Century palazzo overlooking the Grand Canal. Venice, he tells La Nuova Venezia, enchanted him with its "ghosts," "poetry" and "all those wonderful dark alleys."

CASTLE IN L.A.

In 1995, Depp purchased this 1920s-era eight-bedroom castle-like home in West Hollywood on a four-acre eucalyptus grove. Depp is rumored to own several other houses in the neighborhood.

BAHAMAS ISLAND

Johnny Depp bought Little Hall's Pond Cay, a 45-acre island with six beaches, for $3.6 million in 2004. The actor once called the place "pure and beautiful" – but it may be settlement foddernow that he and longtime partner Vanessa Paradis have split.
