White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett was profiled earlier this week in the New York Times, where the heir to a Chicago real-estate fortune is described as “the single most influential person in the Obama White House.”
Sources revealed she has been dubbed “the Night Stalker” by White House staffers. Jarrett’s penchant for following President Obama from the West Wing to the residence earned her the title, according to the Times.
