American Idol: 'Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler dumped according to new reports alleging J-Lo 'wanted $2 million PAY RISE '..

She tearfully told Ryan Seacrest yesterday that she had decided not to return to American Idol in order to concentrate on her music career and two young children. 

But a report in a Hollywood trade paper is now claiming Jennifer Lopez was actually 'dumped by [U.S. network] Fox after asking for a $2 million raise in salary', which would have taken the 42-year-old's pay to a whopping $17 million. 

Sources told The Wrap that Fox also opted not to pick up fellow judge Steven Tyler's option to appear on the next season of the show.
